Dear Parents and Students,

We are excited about our high school youth mission trip to Juxtlahuaca Mexico,

June 30 – July 11, 2010.  It continues to be an enriching partnership between Belmont Church and the Arroyos and the next step for our youth in world missions. The students will be immersed in a totally different culture and way of life. It is a “boot camp” that will allow the students to experience God in new and amazing ways and learn about ministry outside our culture. We hope they’ll learn to be a missionary wherever they are.

The trip requires a significant commitment of time and effort. Our training begins March 5 with team building meetings that include prayer, intercession and local outreaches. Everything we do is to help them develop trust and be a contributing member of a team who will travel together to share the love of God in a foreign country among several different cultures of peoples.

The trip will cost $1250.  It is for students going into Grades 10, 11 or 12 or who graduate this year. The team will be comprised of 28 students and 8 adult leaders. Cutoff date for application is February 21, 2010. Team members will be notified by February 28 if they have been accepted to go on this trip. Two alternate spots will be available, and those students will train with the team. Only students who have participated in training will be eligible to fill a spot if one becomes available.

As a participant you commit to the following:
  • Attend all of the training sessions
